Position Details:

  • Role: Fixed Term – Work from Home Customer Service Associate (Seasonal/Contract)
  • Job Type: Seasonal – 3 Months Contract
  • Pay Rate: R 67.35 per hour
  • Location: Work from the comfort of your home in South Africa (Western Province, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Northern Cape, and North West)

What to Expect as a Customer Service Associate: As an Amazon Customer Service Associate, your primary goal is to provide exceptional support to our North American and UK customers. You’ll be their first point of contact, addressing inquiries via phone, chat, and email.

From order and product questions to payment issues and website guidance, you’ll assist customers using a variety of tools, ensuring effective communication and solutions.

 

Flexible Work Hours: This role offers flexibility with variable working hours, including overnight, day, and late shifts. Your workweek will consist of a minimum of 40 hours, distributed across shifts such as 4×10 hours or 5×8 hours.

You’ll receive your schedule at least two weeks in advance, with possible shifts changes every couple of weeks. Be prepared to work on national holidays, with compensation provided.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum age of 18
    • Right to work in South Africa
    • Completed an NQF Level 4 qualification or Grade 12 (or higher) with a minimum of 50%
    • Strong English communication skills (both written and oral)
    • Proficiency in using a computer
    • Availability for varying shifts throughout the week, including weekends and overtime
    • A quiet, distraction-free workspace with a dedicated desk and chair
    • Technical requirements: Minimum 20Mbps download and upload speed (ADSL/LTE/WIFI/AirFiber)

    Experience Preferred:

    • 1+ years’ experience in an inbound Customer Service role (BPO or contact center experience preferred)
  • Alternatively, 1+ years’ experience in high-end retail Customer Service
